A new haircut

Went shopping with Janice today.... she wanted to buy presents for her friends back in Singapore... so we went to Melbourne Central. After that, we went for a haircut together at this Korean Saloon...

Need a new home~

We are now busy looking for a new apartment.. a bigger 2 bed room with cheaper rent. (God bless us).. Seems like its quite tough to find a good one that is cheap. Especially since I am so particular about the interior.

Anyway, put that aside... past few weeks have been quite stressful.. lots of assignment to hand up and tests too.. but a good thing is that I managed to do quite well for my tests.. hehe.. (",)

Ok, will update again once we found a place.. hehe.. and of cos with the pictures of the new place! =p

reformat....

Got to reformat my laptop.... it was infected by a virus named w32.solow. When infected by this virus, the internet explorer window will have "Hacked by 1Byte" after the name of the website. So unlucky of me.. but the good thing is that none of my files are corrupted.. especially since I am now in the midst of my assignment. If that were to be deleted, I will probably go mad.. haha..

This virus I suspect that it was from school as I used my thumbdrive in school yesterday. And this virus is spread via removable drives.. so 100% must be so..

The thing is, I also caused Nic's laptop to be infected.. haha... so now he is still struggling to clean up his system.. hehe... too bad for him.. =p

nothing much to update.. currently now is the busy period... assignments are lining up to be submitted and tests are just round the corner....

Just wish myself luck to do well in this semester!

a Date with Jessie!!!

Today, I finally met up with Jessie after 2 long years... we have always wanted to meet up back in Singapore however time was just never right. It was really good that she is on her trip to Melbourne and that we can catch up with each other..

We had lunch together at QV building. Wanted to bring her somewhere nice and local, but since we ourselves didn't really know what is good, we decided to go QV since there are more options of food there. But before that, we brought her to try the cheapest and nicest sushi handroll in melbourne ( that's in our opinion).

After lunch, we went to take a walk in Melbourne Central, and visited the fun shop that Nic & I went the other day. We wanted to let her try out something FUN! hehe.. and she really it... haha.. (can't say out what is it cos we still need the FUN to entertain our other friends..keke)

It was already dark by 6pm, hence we decide to take a walk back to Flinders Street station to buy BOOST Juice at a special student rate of $4. After getting the drink, we decided to hang around that area to take some pictures:

After our picture session, we went back to her hotel room.

In the end, as Nic was so engross in catching the sports programme on the TV, and at the invitation of Jessie, we decided to 'bunk-in' together with her hotel room.

We then took a tram back to pack some clothes... Since it was Jessie's first time taking the tram, I took a few pictures for her to as momento. After reaching our place, we took her on a tour to the gym area. She was so amazed by the view and decided to take more pictures... =)

13 April 2007 (Friday the 13th!!! ;p)

Nic and I were awake by 9am. But Jessie was still sleeping.. We only woke her up at 10am to go for our breakfast as arranged.

It was really really great to meet up with her.

Looking forward to our next meeting. =)

'Fat-ful' Day~

Oh my.. feel so sinful now.. just finished a cone of gelati ice-cream all by myself!

Today, Phan & I went to Janice's house to do our business finance assignment. Can say that it was quite fruitful cos we managed to finish 3 out of 5 questions. hehe...

After doing the assignment, Janice & I decided to let our bfs meet up... Hence we went for a dinner session together at Lygon Street (also known as the Italian Street). The whole street is full of italian restaurants. The restaurant that we planned to go is closed, so we end up patronising another restaurant. I had Penne Marinara with Cream Sauce (actually ordered tomato cream base but apparently they don't seems to understand what I wanted), Nic and Paul (Janice's bf) had pizza and Janice had Penne with Avocado and Chicken.

Seems like the meet-up sessions went pretty well.. We chatted for a while after dinner and proceeded to eat the very nice gelati ice-cream (introduced by Janice). It was really good! And most importantly, it is very cheap.. AUD4 for a cone with 2 flavours. So I had Snickers with HoneyComb... yummy... Janice had rum & raisin and Paul had Chocolate Mint... *slurp*

O ya talking about ice-cream.. I begin to miss the soya-bean ice-cream from Mr. Bean back in Singapore... ooooooo.... ;p

Cookie Bar?! Home Alone 1~

Just met up with Janice and her flying friend Lynette for dinner at Cookie Bar. From the name of the place, it is as though it specialises in Cookie-like dessert. But apparently, it is a pub where you can drink and have your meal. Another surprising thing is that this pub, though sounded westernised, actually served Thai-Chinese like food. So in the end, we ordered a Lamb & Eggplant Curry, Egg net with stir-fry minced chicken & cashew nuts and a pot of Hot & Sour Chicken & Mushroom soup (taste like Tomyam soup).

The curry is fabulous!

It was nice meeting up with them. We had much fun eating and chatting. That place was a nice place to chill-out, just that its a little noisy due to the loud music.

Since tomorrow is Good Friday (Public Holiday), Nic went to spend a night at Varun's place at Clayton. So I am Home Alone tonight. The first night of my life spent alone.. :(

But its ok, luckily I still got shows to watch on my laptop. haha.... ;p
