Friends-Meetup-Session 1 : Esther

Today I finally met up with Esther, someone I got to know 6 years ago when I worked in Canon as a Customer Service Officer. Very happy that before I leave, I can still catch up with her. (^_^)

She was the first to introduce me to the waffle ice-cream at Gelare 6 years back. As it is a Tuesday (every tues there will be a half-price on waffle), we went to enjoy the half-priced waffle with ice-cream at Gelare. We chatted as we eat. Come to think of it, Esther and I would meet up at least once a year.. which is good... at least we make a point to continue this friendship.. and I thank her for initiating all the meet-ups, if not I guess we would long have lost contact of each other.. hehe... thanks girl!

Anyway, it was nice catching up with old friends.. more meet-up sessions to come over the next few days... hehe...

a relaxing Sunday~

Today has been a very relaxing day. It has been quite some while since I last spend my Sunday at home with my family.

Like every other Sunday, the first thing I did today was to attend mass at St. Joseph church. After returning home, I did a little packing of my clothes as well as spend sometime online. (o ya.. i forgot to teach mummy how to use MSN.. =( haix... better prepare a manual soon)

In the evening, the whole family (me, sister, Jackson, mummy and papa) had dinner together at Lemongrass restaurant. We ordered a lot of dishes which cost us around $130 (after discount). Nevertheless, despite the not-so-cheap dinner, all of us had a great time.. it has really been a long while since the whole family last dine together... if not for sending me off, i guess we might have to wait for another while more.. haha...

Day ended with me watching my korean show.. haha... Btw, anyone knows of a good place to learn salsa dance?? Am really interested to pick that up... especially if you guys watched the korean movie "Innocent Steps" you will know what I mean.... =p

last 1 week in Singapore...

hmmm, haven't been updating for quite somewhile especially since I am away for a short trip to Kuala Lumpur for the past few days.

23rd Jan 2007:

(On the bus...) (At Yong Peng stop)

The four of us (Me, Nicholas, Esmund and Kenneth) boarded Luxury Exclusive coach at 8am and travelled towards KL. It was a smooth journey and we managed to arrive at our hotel Dorsett Regency at 1.30pm. After which, we checked-in and went out to have a sumptous lunch at T.G.I.Fridays (we feel that we must introduce the great JD Steak and the Cheesy French Onion Soup to Esmund and Kenneth).. It was a great meal.. each of us ordered a JD Steak & Chicken set, a side order of fried mushrooms, one Onion Soup and one Cream of mushroom soup. (Yummy!)

After the filling lunch at around 3pm, we walked to Sungei Wang Plaza and spent a few hours there window shopping and of course, the guys are also all busy examining girls on the street.. haha... and we only returned to the hotel at around 7pm to take a rest.

At around 9pm, we took a cab to Kenneth's house to meet his family members and also to have supper with them.

The day ended with the four of us drinking beer in the hotel room... (^_^)

24th Jan 2007:

I woke up early in the morning at 7.15am and went to the gym to do my 6km morning run. (desperately in need to burn those calories man)... after which, we had our breakfast in the hotel's cafe. After which, Esmund and Kenneth went back to their room and sleep all the way till 3pm, while darling and I went to do our own shopping at KLCC and back to Sungei Wang to purchase some shows.

At around 4pm, Kenneth's dad picked us up from Sungei Wang and bring us to a old eatery to have our late lunch. I probably guess its because of the food that we ate, we are all very tired and can't wait to be back in our hotel room to take a nap... *yawn*... nevertheless, we still made our way to Midvally Mega Mall for a walk.

At night, we had dinner with Kenneth's parents (the purpose of this trip is actually to pay Kenneth's family a visit. hence we met up with his dad quite often. guess they must have missed him badly..). After dinner, we wanted to visit the Beach pub, however as there's a cover charge imposed for each entry, we decided to forego the idea of pubbing. In the end, we ended up an a foot reflexology parlour, and both Nic and Kenneth went ahead with their foot massage while Esmund and I just sat at a corner watching them.

The day ended soon after we returned to the hotel as I am very tired. haha.. so I don't really know about the rest. =p

25th Jan 2007:

The next morning, though I set the alarm clock to go off at 8am (initially planned to go gym again).. however, I was really sleepy.. so slept all the way until 10am before Nic and I finally got up to have our breakfast. After breakfast, we woke Esmund and Kenneth (they missed breakfast cos they were still sleeping) up and packed our stuff before we checked out of hotel. After checking out of the hotel, we made a visit to Lot 10 to do some last min shopping for Kenneth's gf before heading to Hotel Istana to catch our bus.

The bus departed KL at 2pm and we reached Singapore at 6.30pm.

After we got home, Nic and I went for a run around his house before meeting up with Gerald and Rachel for teh at Changi Village. Had a looong talk till 2am.

26th Jan 2007:

We met up with my mummy, ah yi and biao jie for a buffet lunch at Vienna International Buffet (located at United Sq). After which, we returned home, took a nap and I went for my run to kill those calories. At night, we met up with some of Nic's primary school mates and went to play pool.

27th Jan 2007:

Went for a run again this morning...after which sent some curtains to simei for laundry before going to Nic's Ah-ma's house to visit her.

At night, we had a gathering with the Sim's family.. had a great dinner..

Am very happy to receive all the well wishes from all my relatives. I hope that I won't be crying too on the day of my departure to Australia. =(

This day ended with me writing blog...

last 2 weeks...

hmmm... didn't update for a few days...

let me see.. today is Sunday... over the weekends, Nic & I spend most of our time lazing at his house.. watching shows (Star Wars) and met up with Selene & Ken for breakfast on Saturday morning... We also celebrated his mom's birthday today. We had a sumptous dinner at a cantonese restaurant.

O ya.. before I forgot.. I had a nasty stiff neck on Saturday.. so painful... haiz.. but thanks to Nic's tender loving care, I am ok by Sunday.. (Love you darling!).. =)

one day closer... (16 Jan)

today is a slacking day at home.. watched korean show... bring Rico down for a walk.. clean the house .. blah blah blah.. but still a very comfortable day! =p

3 more weeks in Singapore....

Guess its time for me to start a blog too. This blog is to record the journey of Nicholas and I (Stella) during the years of our studies in Australia.

Ok to begin.....

Today is the first day of the end of my working life. Life has never felt so good and relaxing for the past 2 years, where I can wake up late and to do things I want to without worrying about time. keke.. =p

However, today I did not sleep late though.. due to the excessive eating during the weekends, I made myself wake up at 9.30am to go for a jog around Simei estate.. (having to sleep only at 4am the previous night)... but was still glad that I did not give up the idea of running last minute.. haha...

After which, Nic and I made a trip to IDP to meet up with Ruth from Deakin University for a short interview session. We also went back to office to run some errands, and was very touched when all the colleagues presented my farewell gift (thanks everyone.. you guys shouldn't have)... it was a very nice white Casio watch.. really very nice.. haha.. something I have always wanted, a white watch.. so thanks guys!!!

After the pleasant surprise, we went to Plaza Singapura to shop for some necessities (underwears!).. haha.. and we managed to get some good ones at quite a cheap deal due to the John Little sale.. =p

Today again was a rainy day.. sleepy after a long day's walk.. haha.... so we went back to catch a nap before meeting up with Esmund and friends to have dinner. Actually planned to have steamboat dinner, but as the menu wasn't that attractive, we decided to have sushi buffet ... (sign) there goes my morning run... =(

ok, seems like my blogging skills are still very unpolished.. hope readers don't mind my poor and boring naration.. I will definitely brush up my skills.. haha.. so till then, i will keep updating my blog with the exciting encounters in Australia... so do look out ok...
